Senior Companion Program
This program offers volunteer opportunities to low income individuals aged 55 and older. The service Senior Companions provide helps others live independently in their homes instead of moving to expensive institutional care. Companions are given orientation/training. They also receive a non-taxable stipend of $2.65 per hour, transportation reimbursement and on-duty accident and liability insurance protection. The Senior Companion Program averages about eighty-five (85) volunteers. The volunteers serve the following counties, Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester. A thank you letter from a grateful caregiver stated “my father had a brain tumor and our volunteer helped me survive my caregiver days”. The volunteer sat with the client 3 days a week so that the daughter could do her errands and enjoy some self- care.

Foster Grandparent Program
This program provides young and old the chance to grow together. This program offers volunteer opportunities to low income individuals who are 55 and under. Foster Grandparents volunteer in schools, hospitals, Head Start and day care centers. They help children who have need special attention including neglected infants and children with physical disabilities and other students that need special help to learn certain skills such as reading. Benefits include a stipend of $2.65 per hour, transportation reimbursement, on-duty accident and liability insurance protection and an annual physical. The Foster Grandparent Program averages about (160) volunteers. The volunteers service the following counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem.
