Lourdes Regional Rehabilitation Center
One of the most highly respected rehabilitation centers in New Jersey, the Lourdes Regional Rehabilitation Center has been serving patients for over 30 years. The Center is the only comprehensive rehabilitation facility located within an acute care hospital in southern New Jersey. This means that patients benefit from the proximity to the full range of state-of-the-art medical and surgical services should the need arise.
Our interdisciplinary patient care teams are committed to providing treatment programs that are specifically tailored to meet the needs of patients and their families. The rehabilitation philosophy focuses on maximizing an individual’s strengths and independence. Patients are ultimately responsible for their own self-care, decision-making, and goal selection.
The Center is equipped with a full-service rehab gym for physical and occupational therapy, and can accommodate patients with special needs, including those requiring dialysis, transfusions, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN), as well as those who have special feeding (PEG) tubes and tracheotomies.
Patients receive at least three hours of therapy daily, relearning how to walk, bathe or climb steps, and regaining speech and cognitive skills. Lourdes is one of a select few rehabilitation facilities in the region with therapists trained in advanced techniques, such as the SaeboFlex device to increase hand mobility in stroke patients, and VitalStim® therapy to treat patients with dysphagia.
Lourdes is known for its holistic approach to health care-blending traditional with integrative approaches to care. Rehab patients may request services such as therapeutic touch, reflexology and massage therapy.
