Lourdes Nursing Students Collect Items for Behavioral Health Program
Thursday, May 20
Students from the School of Nursing recently donated needed
clothes, shoes, playing cards and games to the mental health units at Lourdes Medical Center Burlington County. The idea was initiated by Nursing III student Dawn Wisdom, with the assistance of Destiny Little, Nursing IV student and OLOL Student Nurse Association community chairperson.
Items were collected from all four nursing classes. These items will allow the patients to wear casual clothing, and the games will assist them in socializing with other patients while doing leisure activities. Pictured are the Nursing III students who presented the donations (left to right): Marjorie-An Alba, Christina Harbeson, Brad Griffin, Jaimie Himes, Stacey Kraus, Lisa Cutili, Sheila Finamore (Recreational Therapist), Joe Vega and Joanna Bednarz.
