(CAMDEN and WILLINGBORO) The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that visits to doctors for influenza-like illness (ILI) increased steeply in the past several weeks in the United States. New Jersey has also seen an increase, according to state and local authorities.
In an effort to protect the community, our patients and visitors and to help prevent the spread of both seasonal and the H1N1 virus, the Lourdes Health System announces the following new visitor restrictions, effective Friday, October 30, 2009.
- Visitors with fever, cough, sore throat and running nose will not be permitted to visit.
- For the safety of children, visitors 17 years and younger will not be permitted in any part of the hospital unless they are being brought to the hospital specifically for their own medical treatment.
This policy will be in affect until further notice.
