Medical Insurance
After three (3) months of employment, all associates budgeted a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to enroll themselves and their eligible dependents in one of several medical insurance programs. The cost is shared by the associate and the company. Coverage is available during the three month waiting period if the associate pays the full cost.Dental Insurance
After three (3) months of employment, all associates budgeted a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to enroll themselves and their eligible dependents in a dental insurance program. One plan is free to associates and a second plan has minimal contributions.Life Insurance - Basic
After three (3) months of employment, all associates budgeted a minimum of 20 hours per week are enrolled in a term life program. The cost is paid by the company. The amount of insurance is based on the associate's job classification.Life InsuranceSupplemental
After three (3) months of employment, all associates budgeted a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to purchase additional insurance for themselves or their dependents. The cost is paid by the associate.Paid Personal Leave (PPL)
All full and part time associates accrue PPL each pay period. PPL may be used for vacations, holidays, short-term illnesses or personal reasons. Time can be utilized the pay period after three (3) months of service. In addition, there is a provision for associates to "cash in" PPL during the year after one year of service. Accruals are based on position and length of service with Lourdes Health System. Associates covered by collective bargaining agreements are subject to the time-off provisions of the bargaining contract.Extended Sick Leave (ESL)
All associates budgeted a minimum of 35 hours per week accrue five (5) days of ESL per year. ESL may be used for illness in excess of one (1) week.NJ Short Term Disability
After meeting certain state qualifications, the plan allows associates to receive a determined weekly dollar amount up to a specified maximum for a period of up to 26 weeks.Long Term Disability
After three (3) months of employment, all associates budgeted a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to enroll in a long term disability program. The cost is paid by the company.Pension Plan
Lourdes sponsors a non-contributory defined benefit plan. The eligibility requirement is age 21 and one (1) year of service with a minimum of 1,000 service hours. It is a cash balance plan with contributions based on age/service formula, interest rate credit and Tax Sheltered Annuity credit. It has a five year vesting schedule.Savings Plans
All associates are eligible to join a Tax Sheltered Annuity plan immediately upon employment. Plans are available from a variety of vendors and offer both aggressive and conservative investment options. US Savings Bonds and Credit Union plans are also available.Direct Deposit
Paychecks may be deposited directly into a savings or checking account at most financial institutions. For added convenience, there is an automatic teller machine at the Medical Center.Educational Assistance & Development
All full time associates with a minimum of three (3) months of service, are eligible for up to $5,000 of tuition costs for approved college courses each calendar year. Part time associate's reimbursement is pro-rated based on budgeted hours.Through Lourdes Health System's collaboration with Philadelphia's Drexel University, Nursing associates have the opportunity to earn a Bachelor's Master's or Certificate online.
Lourdes Health System has introduced a unique scholarship called "Grow Your Own" for associates who are interested in becoming registered nurses. The program allows an associate with six months of service to attend either Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing or Burlington County College while remaining employed part-time and maintaining a certain level of benefits.
